Elvis Presley’s only child, Lisa Marie Presley, passed away at the age of 54.

The news of Lisa Marie Presley’s passing on Thursday rocked the entertainment industry.

Within a few hours, the 54-year-old woman’s mother, Priscilla Presley, acknowledged that her daughter had suffered a heart arrest at their home in Calabasas, California.

In a statement, Priscilla stated, “It is with a heavy heart that I must share the tragic news that my lovely daughter Lisa Marie has left us.”

“She was the most vibrant, powerful, and loving lady I’ve ever known. As we struggle to come to terms with the magnitude of this loss, we respectfully request privacy. I am grateful for the love and prayers that have been sent. There are going to be no further comments made at this time.”


Lisa Marie Presley, the only child of rock and roll pioneer Elvis Presley, was famous from the moment she was born. Still, she became a celebrity in her own right by making music, including several songs that became chart hits. Lisa Marie Presley was the only child of Elvis Presley. She has been married to Nicolas Cage and Michael Jackson at various times. One of her iconic onstage kisses was with Michael Jackson at the 1994 MTV Video Music Awards. To sum it all up, when she passed away, she had garnered great love among the Hollywood community.

Celebrities such as Tom Hanks, who portrayed Elvis’s manager, Col. Tom Parker, in Baz Luhrmann’s 2022 movie Elvis, which was about her father’s life, and Hanks’s wife, Rita Wilson, as well as Smashing Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan, LeAnn Rimes, Pink, and many others, paid tribute to Presley, noting that her passing was yet another source of heartbreak for the musical family.

Corgan, the frontman for the Smashing Pumpkins, expressed his sadness in a post on social media by saying, “I simply cannot find the words to explain how terrible this truly is.”

People also described the event as “simply so incredibly sad” and “heartbreaking,” amongst other terms, to explain how they felt at the time.

Her half-brother, Navarone Garcia, acknowledged in the eulogy that he understood the “previous two years weren’t easy” for her in the aftermath of the passing of her son Benjamin by stating that he knew this to be the case.
