Aidan Pilkington Death : Teenager killed on Crow Road Hit and Run Accident in Glasgow was due to for Dundee university next week.
The young boy killed by a reckless driver in a hit and run and run event on Crow Street has been named locally.
The 18-year-old, named online as Aidan Pilkington, was struck by an automobile at 12.20am on Sunday morning hours on the ever busy road in the west end of Glasgow.
He was rushed to Queen Elizabeth University Medical center but was tragically later pronounced dead, the Daily Record reported.
Police confirmed that reckless driver who hit and killed the boy didn’t stop at the scene near Anniesland Cross.
Authorities closed the road as investigation continues.
Police have so far identified the car to be a Mercedes A Class and is have appealed to the suspected driver to come forward and face the law.
How it Happened.
A Scottish law enforcement spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Crow Street, Glasgow around 12.20am on Saturday 11 September 21 to an accident location where a pedestrian struck and killed by a car.
“An 18-year-old man was taken up to the Queen Elizabeth University or college Medical center where he was later pronounced dead.
Now those who know the teen have launched a a crowd funding in a bet to raise money for his family.
A statement posted on the crowdfunding site read: “If anyone could donate anything they can no matter what size or small showing your support to his family and family members.”
Sergeant Scott Sutherland from the street Policing Division said: “This event has left a young man man dead, and its is essential we track the car involved. The car may have some damage from the accident and and may have to have lost the Mercedes badge from its bonnet.
