Sad news to pass along this morning. My former Providence WLNE-TV colleague Ann Conway has passed away. Looking through the lens of 2019 it can be difficult to understand how trailblazing it was for women in television news to command the anchor desk back then. Ann was always a class act. My thoughts go out to her family and loved ones.
Sad to hear the news of the passing of former ABC6 news anchor Ann Conway. Ann was competent, authentic and a wonderful team player. She and Dave Layman anchored our news with integrity and personality. She leaves a great legacy at ABC6!

Friends and colleagues are paying tribute to the late Ann Conway, who passed away last weekend. Local news viewers and listeners will certainly remember her.
I didn’t know Ann well, enough to say hello while on stories out on the street, but she was a wonderful woman, always friendly and helpful. May she rest in peace, and for her family and friends, may her memory be for a blessing.
I wish she came to our summer reunion …💔 reach out to those you will suddenly miss one of these days. RIP Ann…
