Death – Obituaries : (MARKET NEWS) – Friends and families are mourning the death of Ash Valiente of Bridgewater State University who recently passed away.

We learned of the deceased through the following tribute posted on social media by Living-Learning Communities at BSU

We’re absolute heartbroken by the loss of our amazing Programming Assistant, Ash Valiente. Ash was the definition of what it meant to be a student leader. They were passionate, caring, and so hardworking. When we think of what it means to be a BSU Bear, we immediately think of Ash. They were such a bright light on campus and we are so thankful that we had the chance to work with them as a part of our staff.

Our thoughts are with Ash’s family, friends, and everyone at BSU and beyond who has been touched by their passing.

Counselors are available to students, faculty and staff in the Wellness Center in Weygand Hall ‪on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.‬ Also, Counseling Services may be accessed after hours (including the weekend) via BSU’s on-call clinician service. To speak with a clinician after regular business hours, please call the Counseling Center at ‪508-531-1331‬ and select option #2.

We love you Ash. Thanks for being such a bright light in our lives.

Tributes.

The following are some tributes posted on social media to honor the life and the legacy of the deceased.

I have spent two hours trying to figure out how to start this but Ash Valiente I will miss late night Cumberland farms trips. I will miss your programs. Most of all I will miss the just talking to you. Ever since freshman year you have guided me to become a student leader on this campus and I will forget that. I am living in your name and everything I do is to honor you. Thank you Ash and rest in peace.
