Friends and families are paying tributes on social media to Beloved Roman “Bo” Duren who recently passed away.
An East Central University student athlete was killed and two other people were injured in a head-on crash near Ada late Sunday afternoon.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol said a Ford Mustang driven by 19-year-old Roman Duren Jr. of Choctaw was southbound on State Highway 3W when, “for unknown reason,” it veered left of the center line 15 miles northwest of Ada.
Duren’s vehicle slammed into a northbound Chevrolet Tahoe sport utility vehicle driven by Samantha Manning, 43, of Durant. According to a report by kten

This fundraiser was originally set up to help Koby Midgley raise his portion of the baseball team fees for his college, but do to tragedy, Koby and his family have UNSELFISHLY decided to turn this fundraiser into a fundraiser for an ECU player that was on the pitching staff with Koby. Bo Duren passed away yesterday after a car accident on his way back to college.
He was a Freshman pitcher/infielder and playing college baseball was his dream. Bo lived in Choctaw and went to Jones High School. PLEASE PLEASE if you feel led, purchase an item to help Koby donate in Bo’s memory. 100% of the profit will be donated to a fund in memory of Bo Duren or to the family of Bo Duren.
