Truly very sad. Suddenly.Bob was one of Winchester’s most known. We were class of 71, he played at UPenn under Chuck Daly and dedicated his sports life to helping kids enjoy sports. He wrote two books on kids and sport.A great friend and good guy. There is a website, bobbigelow.com.
Sharing sad news – in the words my son Greg posted earlier this morning. Bob passed away suddenly last night:“Bob Bigelow was a Winchester legend. He played for the Celtics, taught kids basketball, and rumor has it he took on the Winchester varsity basketball team 5 on 1 and beat them. Most importantly he was a kind, generous man who I have known my entire life. The world just lost a great guy.RIP Bob, you got next on the pickup game up there.”

This is such shocking and sad news. Bob was truly one of my favorite people….a sentiment that I am sure will be repeated countless times in the days to come. He had that special knack of treating everybody that he came in contact with as if they were his best friend.
I will miss seeing him at the Town Pantry and at the Swim Club’s “alumni”
Marylou and myself send our thoughts and prayers to Nancy and her family.
Bob will be missed by so many people.
