Cause of Death.
We have no information at the moment on of caused death . This post will be updated as soon as we have that information.
The following are some tributes posted on social media to honor the life and the legacy of the deceased.
I attended all of Boyd Grant’s summer camps when he was the head coach at the College of Southern Idaho. He led the Golden Eagles to JC national championship in 1976. I will never forget how fired up he would get talking about defense.

When I think of Boyd Grant and Fresno I remember Bill Mulligan’s line, when he was at Irvine:
“Boyd can recruit all those foreign guys because they think they’re coming to California.”

I told my dad this news and he said: “He was a great coach !!! Yes he couldn’t recruit the most talented players so he overcame that with great defense. He did have a defense coach Ron Adams who is now an assistant coach for the a Warriors.”

RIP Boyd Grant. Condolences to his family, to include his extended family of players who were blessed to play for him. One of the greatest coaches in Fresno St. history. For those around in ’83 who can forget the NIT Championship won in NY, and the following parade in Fresno celebrating our Bulldogs? His defeat of Houston and Akeem Olajuwon? A very sad day for all Fresno St. fans.
