Brad Levi Ayala is not Dead, He Was Shot in the Head During Protest in Austin.

Brad Levi Ayala, 16, was shot in the head with a plastic coated bullet by the Austin Police Department (APD) while participating in a demonstration against police brutality on Saturday in honor of Mike Ramos and George Floyd.

This week, a KIPP Austin high school student was shot by police for peacefully protesting.

Video shows this student standing quietly on a hill when a rubber bullet strikes him in the head. He is no longer in critical condition, but remains in the hospital for neurological testing.

The KIPP Austin community is united in our love and support of this student, and we stand with everyone who is fighting to end systemic racism, police brutality, and white supremacy.
