my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends. What an absolute tragedy!
Hoping all the response personnel and athletes who witnessed this are ok, too.
So very, very sad for whoever this was. An exceptional person whose life has tragically been cut short.
He was a great friend, a lovely bloke and a Australian Army veteran who 18 years ago taught me to fly. He lived life to the fullest and during COVID when he was unable to work as an airline pilot chased his other dreams. Such a sad way to finish. RIP old mate.
So very sad …..the Tri community have rallied around all involved both Athletes in the water and the Response Personel…….to the Family and Friends he passed away doing something he loved RIP
RIP. So unbelievably sad. Condolences to the family and friends.
My partner and I saw the resuscitation attempts as we walked past and were hoping for good news. To read this now is awful.
Take care everyone.
