I have been in shock and feeling numb since I heard of Colton’s passing. That kid had a smile that lit up the world. I laughed when he decided to bring back the mullet. I will miss seeing him working on trucks nextdoor with his dad Kirk Gritzmacher.
Those two were so close I cant imagine how Kirk will ever be the same. They had so many hobbies together.hunting, fishing, working on trucks, car shows and their multi ribboned dog Vader. Colton even became a firefighter like his dad.
They had a relationship to be envied. Everyone who was blessed to know this duo is feeling heartbroken today for the loss of a beautiful soul and for the shattered heart of his father. Colton Gritzmacher you will truly be missed.
If you are so inclined to leave a kind word for his father to see I’m sure in time he will enjoy reading them. This is not just his fathers loss but our whole small community.

I went to school with Kirk in Belvidere and recently reconnected with him here on FB. I did not know he had a son. I’m sorry to read about his passing. Was it in the line of duty as a firefighter?
