It is with great sadness that I inform you of the tragic loss of one of our students, Sienna Rettig. Sienna was to graduate this May with a degree in Psychology and minor in Business Marketing. She was a resident of Alamo California.
Sienna was a resident of Alamo California, and while at Gonzaga she participated in retreats and the Zag Volunteer Corps. She is survived by her parents John and Diane, two brothers and a sister. We offer our deepest condolences to Sienna’s family, friends, and loved ones.

During this time of great loss, we are reminded of the significant support a community such as ours provides. Losing a student and a member of our University can be very difficult, especially when we are physically distant from one another, & we encourage you to reach out.
For students, we offer a variety of resources. The Center for Cura Personalis (CCP) is open 9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Case Managers are available via Zoom and Skype to meet with students virtually. Their office may be reached at 509-313-2227.
The Health & Counseling Center is open from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Counseling appointments are available via Zoom and Skype and may be arranged by calling the main office at 509-313-4052.
