Friends and families are paying tributes on social media to Beloved Dave Mateo who recently passed away. The cause of his death was not revealed or made known to the general public.

Friends or family members have opened a fundraiser to help his family via the online fundraising platform gofundme.

Dave brought light into the lives of anyone who he came in contact with. His only mission was to make others happy and to inspire and he is loved by so many people across the world who he has touched with his talents and gentle spirit. The burden he carried became too heavy for just himself to bare. Now he can rest in peace with our heavenly Father in Heaven.

Dave, I just want to say THANK YOU. I‘m pretty sure everyone knows that you are the most caring, loving, thoughtful, humble and passionate person to have walked this Earth. I remember people would walk up to you star struck & say “Hey, are you Dave Mateo?!” In public – but you never cared about recognition, it was the fruits of your labor that was so powerful and the impact you’ve given to communities, not just in Sacramento but around the world. It was you being a selfless leader and always wanting to pay-it-forward. You’ve shared your talents and passions and have paved the ways for generations to come. I’ll always remember the jam sessions, the philosophical talks and quirky times we’ve had. You meant so much to me and Jed, like the time you helped Jed with an Agape song he wrote for my REC. You were always so supportive of our relationship through it all. Everytime we met a new friend of yours, you’d always tell the story that you knew Jed & I were meant to be together because you saw us at a party “cheer-sing” a Mickey’s 40 and downing it.
