This evening we received with heavy sorrow the unfortunate news that FIRST co-founder, Dr. Woodie Flowers, had passed away.
As the Cerbotics teams’s family we share and add up to the mourn that all the FIRST & STEM teams and organizations are suffering.
Today, we remember him as the pioneer that showed us how an interested teacher could change, in just 3 decades, the way education is conceived, demonstrating that we only need a clear goal and a focused mind to change the world.
Thanks, Woodie, for being such an amazing mentor for all the teams in the world, now it’s our turn to make your efforts be worth it.

We were saddened to hear of the death of Woodie Flowers today. Without his guidance and core values, FIRST would not have become the amazing community that it has today. May the legacy of the OGP (Original Gracious Professional) live on in the hearts and minds of FIRST students around the globe.
