I just keep thinking about the fact the parents (Kobe Bryant and John and Keri Altobelli)and their children(Gianna Bryant and Alyssa Altobelli) were traveling together in a helicopter on their way to an important tournament.

Friend of mine said John, Keri, and Alyssa Altobelli were on the helicopter. There is a 16 year old who just lost nearly her whole family. Awful. Awful.

“John Altobelli, his daughter Alyssa Altobelli and wife Keri Altobelli were on the helicopter when it crashed in Calabasas, California, a relative tells CNN.”
My heart goes out to the remaining Altobelli daughter. Mom, dad and sister gone just like that…
This crash took out families. My heart is sore. All our hearts are with their families and friends.

All the other unnamed victims.
Just spoke with Mets star Jeff McNeil, who played for John Altobelli, one of the victims of the Calabasas helicopter crash, who managed Brewster in the Cape Cod League in 2012.
Said McNeil: “He’s one of the main reasons I’m still playing professional baseball.”

Houston baseball coach Todd Whitting “absolutely devastated” at the passing of former UH player John Altobelli and his daughter on helicopter crash that also took life of Kobe Bryant. “Not only was he a great supporter of the UH program but he was a great friend.” 1/2
The Fresno City College Rams Baseball Team would like to send out our deepest condolences to The Orange Coast College Baseball Team. The lose of Coach John Altobelli is being felt through the whole Baseball Community. Thoughts and prayers to The Altobelli Family, Friends and OCC.
As well as Kobe and his daughter. May we also talk and pray about John Altobelli, his wife and his daughter also in the crash? John and his wife have now left behind another daughter and son, parentless. May God strengthen all affected family members involved.

John Altobelli & his daughter were also in that helicopter with Kobe & Gigi. Praying for the families who have lost their loved ones in that crash.
A tragic day.
My heart goes out to the Altobelli family, Coast Baseball and anyone who was lucky enough to interact with coach John Altobelli during his 20+ years of service to baseball. Just like Kobe, Alto was so, so, so good at what he did.
He will be severely missed. Unreal
Former UH player John Altobelli’s daughter, who was also killed in helicopter crash, played for Kobe Bryant’s basketball team. Altobelli played for the Cougars in the late 1980s.
