Death – Obituaries : (MARKET NEWS) – Friends and families are mourning the death of Deb Bluford-Johnson of Kansas City who recently passed away.

We learned of the deceased through the following tribute posted on social media by The Barn Players Community Theatre

It is with great personal and professional sadness that I pass on the news that The Barn and the whole Kansas City theatre community has lost another friend, champion and performer. Our beloved Deb Bluford-Johnson passed away after a very sudden and brief illness. Please remember her as one of the best comedic actors around. One who was as generous, kind and funny off the stage as on. I will post any information about services as I hear about them.

Cause of Death.

We have no information at the moment on what cause the death of Deb Bluford-Johnson. This post will be updated as soon as we have that information.

The following are some tributes posted on social media to honor the life and the legacy of the deceased.

The Kansas City theatre community lost an absolute treasure today in Deb Bluford. I’m not sure which she had more of; talent or kindness. Brett did Nuncrackers with her in 2012 at American Heartland Theater and she was such a joy and made the kids in the cast feel so special!

Rest easy, Deb. ❤️

I am broken-hearted that another acting legend in Kansas City has passed away.

There will never be anyone who will be able to replace the irrepressible spirit of Debra Bluford-Johnson.

Deb was one of the sweetest, kindest, most warm-hearted individual I’ve ever known. And she had a laugh that could just light up a room and a stage.

She was the one of the most talented actors I’ve ever had the honor to share the stage with, and her no-nonsense performances always cut to the heart of her character and the story that was being told. She will be missed terribly.

My deepest sympathies go out to her family and her legions of friends and admirers. Kansas City has lost a treasure.
