Don Everly Death – Obituary News : Cause of Death – What Did Don Everly die from ?

Don Everly, one half of the rock’n’roll duo of the Everly Brothers has passed away. A spokesperson for the family confirmed Everly’s death to the Los Angeles Times.

A spokesperson for the family confirmed his death to the Times, though a cause of death was not provided. He was 84 years old.

His group The Everly Brothers were an American country-influenced rock and roll duo, known for steel-string acoustic guitar playing and close harmony singing. Consisting of Isaac Donald “Don” Everly (February 1, 1937 – August 21, 2021) and Phillip “Phil” Everly (January 19, 1939 – January 3, 2014), the duo was raised in a musical family, first appearing on radio singing along with their father Ike Everly and mother Margaret Everly as “The Everly Family” in the 1940s. According to their profile on Wikipedia.

His death was announced on Facebook by American singer Roy Roy Orbison with the following statement.

We regret to inform you that Don Everly of The Everly Brothers has died today, August 21, 2021.
Don and his brother Phil were among the very greatest musicians of all time.
Roy Orbison loved them as friends and looked up to them as musicians. They helped Roy become a songwriter, move to Nashville and much, much more.
We here at Orbison love Don & Phil too, their music and their lives.
Don will be missed by all of us and all those who appreciate the vast treasures of music he leaves us.
