i have posted several posts regarding Dr. Stearns. Dr. Stearns has been my pain doctor for nearly ten years now. I suffer from degenerative spine disease and after having gone through four spine surgeries, facing a fifth at the time I went to her and facing having mental rods placed down both sides of my spine to have to live with the rest of my life, I was determined to find another way. Oral pain medication had stopped working and I was desperate. She implanted a pain pump which brought me tremendous relief (I still have pain and I knew I would) but I received sufficient relief that I went back to work for awhile and I am now on my second implant. I commend Dr. Stearns with saving my life literally. I was to the point that I was seriously contemplating doing myself in, so I will be eternally grateful to her. I don’t know what will lay ahead for me with her gone, tomorrow I get my pump filled and I am hoping that her office will be able to tell me what is next. I considered Dr. Stearns an excellent doctor but I also considered her my friend. I will miss her and I wish her family condolences and my prayers are with them.

I was shocked to hear about the death of Dr. Stearns. I was a patient of hers for over 2 years. I attended every appt. and every pain support group she lead. She helped me at a time when I was in severe pain from 16 spinal surgeries. She referred me to Barrow’s and to Dr Jay Turner who really helped me and got me out of pain. RIP Dr. Stearns. Many people and patients will miss you

I was a patient of Dr Lisa Stearns for over 15 years, she literally save my life. I was in a boating accident, which left me with horrible nerve pain. She implanted a Neuro stimulator for my nerve pain , they last about 9 years, so in 2014 she implanted the second stimulator, which is still making my horrible pain tolerable. I am forever grateful for this wonderful, caring Doctor, we will all miss you Dr Lisa Stearns,
