I lost a life long friend and brother today.Dylan Cockerham
was someone who impacted my life immensely. You were my best friend in middle school. There wasn’t a day where we didn’t laugh or cause trouble.I remember messing around in math class til the teacher gave us life lessons on being a good person, or being late to 7th hour every single day because we were too busy roaming the halls or talking to people in other classes, or being the best couple of saxophone players our band has ever seen.Life split us apart as we grew, we went to different schools, made new friends, changed as people…. yet years later on we crossed paths again as freshman in college. I knew who you were from the moment you yelled my name just the way you used to. It was like we never spent a day apart.I can’t say we spoke a lot the last couple years, but I know that had we had the chance to stay connected, it would be like nothing changed. You were a good man Dylan, and so so so many people loved you. Thank you so much for all the time we spent together. Thank you for all the laughs and the memories. Most importantly thank you for being one of my bestest friends I had. I love you dude, Rest In Peace. And if you made it this far, thank you, and as corny as it is, please please remember that life is too short. We don’t know when people will go. Don’t be afraid to reach out to someone you haven’t talked to in a while, and please don’t waste any time not living the life you want.

“Love is stronger than death even though it can’t stop death from happening, but no matter how hard death tries it can’t separate people from love. It can’t take away our memories either. In the end, life is stronger than death.”
