There’s a new hashtag every week and we’re getting TIRED of fighting to be treated like human beings. Our hearts are heavy tonight as we mourn the loss of Elijah McClain. We can’t keep allowing black men to die at the hands at the police.

@AuroraPD I don’t care what you have done so far but the officers that were involved with Elijah McClain need to be fired IMMEDIATELY! What they did is UNACCEPTABLE! “Safer Aurora”? people fear for their life because of your corrupt methods! #ElijahMcClain pic.twitter.com/LFkLuJpn0o

I am not going to post the videos of Elijah McClain’s last words. It’s too heart wrenching.
If his murder as well as the murder of Breonna Taylor can’t convince you that there’s a problem then ♀️
Arrest the cops who murdered Elijah McClain and Breonna Taylor.#blacklivesmatter

How do police choke out a young man for #dancingwhileblack ?
How do the police kill/still his beautiful smile forever? #ElijahMcClain should be smiling now. #PoliceBrutality pic.twitter.com/uLdXl3eCR6

Elijah’s last words are a testament to the kind of person he was. So loving, so kind. How can killing him even begin to be justified?
Elijah, we will never forget you, and we will continue to fight for you, and for all the other lives we’ve lost

A reminder that just because #BLM is no longer trending and isn’t on the TL, does NOT mean that Black Lives have stopped matter or we are even close to our goal. We still need justice for Breonna Taylor and Elijah McClain, who were slaughtered.

Three more officers killed an innocent black man. Still employed. Never arrested and are apparently harassing their victim’s family despite being transferred to a new department. They are killing us so fast, we can’t keep up. #JusticeForElijahMcClain #ElijahMcClain https://t.co/mYsGnIkbpw

Arrest Elijah McClain’s murderers right fucking now. Without ever meeting him I can just feel his positive energy and good heart from his pictures and even his last words were filled with kindness. The kid played violin for shelter cats. I want to cry every time I think about him

Elijah McClain, my friend, my coworker. An angel taken way too soon. Murdered by Aurora, CO police for no reason. All because someone saw him with a mask on walking home from a store. He did nothing wrong, and after all investigations were done, there was proof and facts of his innocence, and police brutality. He never got justice. Like so many others. His murder never went national.
But he deserves to be remembered. It’s almost been a year since his family and friends lost him. Peace was never given. Justice was never served. This can not happen anymore. We have to change. We have to make it happen. Racism is alive and well, and it’s NOT okay.
You still hit my mind and heart all the time of what happened to you. And I pray that God is taking good care of you, I pray your relatives that have past are there to comfort you through this dark time. Know that we are here to fight for you and everyone losing their life to police brutality, to racism, to murder because of the color of your skin. You deserve better. And it starts with us! #endracism #endpolicebrutality #violenceisnottheanswer #blackskinisnotacrime #fightforjustice #blacklivesmatter
