Eric Wagner Death – Obituary News : Former Trouble and current The Skull vocalist has died .
We are sad to report that Former Trouble and current The Skull vocalist Eric Wagner has died of pneumonia brought about by Covid-19. His son, Luke Wagner, confirmed on social media. According to a report by theobelisk.net on August 23. 2021.
Wagner was essential in defining the trajectory of American doom. Early albums through Metal Blade Records like 1984’s Trouble/Psalm 9, 1985’s The Skull and 1987’s Run to the Light set forth a blueprint that many still follow today, and even as Trouble shifted into more heavy rock and classic rock-minded fare on their 1990 self-titled, their efforts remained no less crucial, with Wagner’s Beatles influence becoming all the more defining on 1992’s Manic Frustration and 1995’s Plastic Green Head, which would be his final album with the band until 2007’s Simple Mind Condition.

Richard Lawson wroteOne of the worst things about getting old is seeing your musical heroes die. For 4 decades your music has played a huge role in my life from teen to man in his 50s. I’ve been lucky to see you many times. Everything you touched was gold. The world seems a worse place when men like Eric, Malcolm Young, Ronnie Dio and Cliff Burton depart. But you will live on my friend through the catalogue you left behind. Be sad that Eric has passed but rejoice that his words are still there to guide and help us. Condolences to all.Dino Mifsud Lepre wrote

Why didnt that hospital saved his life ? That is the most devestating part of it, I cant take it in why didnt they save him ? I have been listeing to Erics voice since that Metal Massacre comp days and forward.
With the Skull he was happy he had found peace and a group of people he really progressed with and his voice got stronger with age. We met here in Gothenbuirg at Truckstop Alaska and it was a really good turnout and Erics charisma was just amazing. to me he is one of the most impressive singers that have walked the earth. His voice will always remain and his legacy will always continue to shine. Life will be a dark place now with Erics gone I will honour him deeply. A huge loss of a great man and my condolences to his friends and relatives. Rest in Peace brother and thanks for the all decades you have blessed my soul

One of my favorite tours Trouble, White Zombie and Pantera. Trouble brought out a joint stand that all the bands partaked in Lorne Warawa.
Sad that his belief in fake news and comittment to the anti-vaxx movement killed him. Sad for his family and fans.
