Fire in Calimesa Today : Video Footage of Southern California Power Outage.
Calimesa, Ca (MARKET NEWS) – Fire driving by heavy wind burning in Calimesa, CA has burned at over 500 acres and destructed structures on Thursday.
The Sandalwood fire, as it’s been dubbed, began as a vehicle fire at about 2 p.m. Sandalwood Drive and Seventh Street, near the I-10 exit ramp, said Cal Fire/Riverside County Fire Department.
The fire which has burned more than 200 acres of Sandlewood drive prompted authorities to establish Evacuation Center at the Calimesa Senior Center.
Santa Ana winds gusting up to 55 mph in the valleys and up to 70 mph in the mountains along with low humidity prompted the National Weather Service on Thursday to issue a red flag warning for large swaths of the Southland.
