Death – Obituaries : (MARKET NEWS) – Friends and families are mourning the death of High School Track Coach, George Smawley, of Lindenhurst NY who recently passed away.
We are so sad to announce that George Smawley has passed away. We, his friends and family, are setting up this page to help meet future expenses for his wife Donna and daughters Grace and Abby.
Although these contributions cannot make up for the magnitude of their loss, it can show the girls that we loved and admired their father and how deeply we care about their future.
I’ve been posting this on every form of social media I can. Today we lost an amazing coach, teacher, and friend. He left behind two young girls and his wife, and they need to pay for all his medical bills, funeral, etc. If you can, please donate!💚💛https://t.co/d9gt6I2j8i

George Smawley Cause of Death.
We have no information at the moment on what cause the death of George Smawley. This post will be updated as soon as we have that information.
The following are some tributes posted on social media to honor the life and the legacy of the deceased.
My heart hurts this morning. My son, AJ, texted that his HS Track Coach, George Smawley, passed away. He was young – way too young… AJ had a great relationship with “Smawley”.
As a senior, he made States and was invited to compete up at Cornell. He ran in a medley – all of 80 seconds. His coaches made the 5 hour+ trip and after a great run by AJ, my wife,me and AJ decided to have dinner to celebrate with his coaches.
Smawley wanted La Mela’s in Little Italy. He seemed so excited to go there – so we went. As we were finishing dinner, he excused himself to go to the bathroom. He actually snuck away to pay the bill. It was a kind gesture from a kind man, a great mentor and a loving Coach. You will be missed Coach. God bless you, God bless and care for your family.
