Jackson Weis of Ohio has died, according to a statement posted online on Jul. 27, 2020.
We learned of the deceased through the following tribute posted on social media.,
To everyone praying for the Weis family…I wanted to pass along a few updates…1. The Weis family appreciates all the love, support and prayers. At this time the request has been made that we provide them space and grace. They have a long road ahead of them, both physically and mentally as their entire world has changed.2. A Go Fund Me account is being researched, but at this time the family is asking we pause and let them focus on Jeff and his recovery. Everyone has the best intentions, but they need to focus on the moment and take it minute by minute and hour by hour. Please know I am making notes on everyone who is reaching out with ideas and commitments of support. When the time is right I will share with the family and let them choose what they are comfortable with to honor Jackson.3. When it is time to coordinate support fro when Jeff gets to go home, the Admins of this group (Abigail Mock, Melissa Nicole and myself) will help get the word out to everyone who wants to be involved and align with the direct needs and requests of both Jeff and Jes.As someone who has loved this family since I met Jes on Halloween night in 1997, the love and support for her and Jeff is helping me deal with this tradegy. That might sound weird to some, but sharing our prayers and support is going to give us all the strength for us to be strong for them.
Just like each and everyone of you – I feel helpless. I am a state away and organizing this is what I can contribute to the cause. They are going to need us all in the coming days, weeks, months and years!

The following are some tributes posted on social media to honor the life and the legacy of the deceased. From the bottom of all of our hearts we thank you all so much for all of the support we have been receiving. Nothing will ever be able to ease the pain of losing such an amazing kid but knowing that he is loved and cherished by so many people helps us find peace in knowing his memory will last forever. My baby brother was by far the most amazing kid i have ever met.He could make friends with anyone and was always the light of any thing he’s done. He was so strong and could dominate every sport he played just like Dad. He was one of the happiest and goofiest kids who never let a smile leave his face. It wasn’t just our family who lost him but the entire community of people who’ve know him.We all ask that you continue to keep my dad in your thoughts and prayers and hope for a quick recovery. He has consistently beaten the odds and continues to and is improving every day.Again thank you all so much. Sending love to you all.
