I saw a news report – both Joe and Jim were in the helicopter along with 2 others. 3 were pulled from the river, Joe was recovered later. Very sad news.

Heartbreaking! I was getting off the interstate as I was going home and a helicopter was flying low right over my car. Not sure if it was the same one, but it made me think. So so sorry to know this.

While taking a walk yesterday I saw a helicopter flying very low over the West Hills neighborhood where I live. It was moving in an erratic fashion and was just feet above the trees. It flew right above my house. When I got back home I saw a report about the crash.

It flew over Sunset View subdivision in Maryville about 7:30. I was on the sofa in the big room and could see the whole under carriage. The pilot was maybe 400 feet above the ground and the chopper was tilting as if it was in trouble. I’m not quite sure why they didn’t try a landing at TYS or the tiny airport on that small island near the tracks. They flew a bit further and dropped into the river. SO SAD. The TSA will figure it out eventually.

I wonder if it was the helicopter I saw. Anyone know the helicopter color?
