RIP Joe Lyons. Another incredible soul taken from the world too soon.
Mixers are sending our love to Capital at what must be an incredibly difficult time.
He did organise some of the most iconic games Little Mix ever played at Capital so we thank him.

So proud of the whole Capital team this morning, we’ve all been a bit lost for words this past week but @ariannemerry and all of the breakfast guys produced this most incredible tribute to @joe_lyons this morning, beautifully delivered by his best mate Roman https://t.co/ppoxv70e2A

I watched this from @romankemp with tears streaming down my face. Joe Lyons worked at @LBC before moving to Capital, and answered the phones on my Drivetime show. The most optimistic, bouncy person you could ever hope to meet. My heart goes out to his family. https://t.co/LC68gwDn2J

Feel so sad woke up hearing about @joe_lyons the chats we would have about “real music” during my time at Capital, the side hustles, every intern havin a crush on him. He was a badass incredible guy. I’m truly shocked sending love and so much prayers to his family and friends
This is the first time I have been brought to tears by an obituary of a person I had never heard of until today he must have been one hello of a guy. RIP Joe Lyons.

RIP Joe. This man kickstarted my career back when nobody else cared, and fought tirelessly to get me through the door at @CapitalOfficial. I get to do what I love every day because of what you did for me. We’re gonna miss you endlessly. @joe_lyons pic.twitter.com/2TMMaK2i3Q

So, it isn’t “Joe Lyons is dead” – it’s “Roman Kemp’s friend is dead”.
If you type in Joe Lyons to Google, it’s all pictures of Roman Kemp.
Is it only me that sees this as problematic?
Take Roman Kemp’s name out of the article headlines. It isn’t about him.@romankemp

Unbearably sad news. I worked with Joe Lyons at Global Radio. At one point we worked on an entertainment project called Secret TV which was a lot of fun. He was a really wonderful person. This is just so sad. https://t.co/sHMfc39RBQ
