Barbadian Kamau Brathwaite (May 11, 1930- Feby 4, 2020) died today. His famous historical work is titled “The Development of Creole Society in Jamaica”. He also published The Arrivants (1973) and a trilogy—Mother Poem (1977), Sun Poem (1982), and X/Self (1987)
