Waking up to the sad news that Marty Lundy of the band Kathmandu has died. Anyone who attended Queen’s Belfast in the late 1970s or 1980s will undoubtedly have memories of this talented guy who was part of the fabric of student life at that time. RIP.

Belfast music has lost one of its stalwarts. Marty Lundy is no longer with us. For many, Katmandu were one of the ‘troubles era’ bands that made us forget about the troubles. Good music did that, you see.
