Amanda Hoyle Rathbone wroteMy heart is broken, and so heavy for the family and friends of Katie Sparrow Hedrick.Katie was one of my very first friends. She and I grew up on the same street, just a couple doors down from each other. We loved to roller skate, ride our bikes, and dance in the driveway with the boom box blaring. Katie was one of the sweetest, most genuine, and likeable people I knew. Katie was a couple years younger than I was, so we weren’t as close as we got older, and further along in school, but my childhood would not have been the same without her.Sometimes we don’t understand God’s plan, but I know for sure that God will use Katie’s life as a testament to his goodness.I pray for Katie’s baby girls, her husband Miles, her parents Alan & Marcia Miller Sparrow, and all of her closest friends and family. I know the road ahead will be tough for them, but I trust that God will carry them through. Heaven is a little bit brighter today. We can rejoice in the Lord, that Katie is no longer suffering, but made new, and in heaven with Jesus.“For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”II Corinthians 5:7-8 NKJVKay Hall Wilson wrote
