It’s with a heavy heart that I tell everyone that my father passed away this morning after a courageous fight with ALS. He stayed positive to the end. It’s hard to say goodbye to someone who has been such a force in my life. I’ve seen the impact he had on so many people and the outpouring of love and support has brought comfort during a very difficult time. At the end of the day, though, he was just Dad to me. He’s the guy who found the time to coach every little league and soccer team I was on, even when he was working as a superintendent and finishing his doctorate. As I’ve made my way in my career, he was always there encouraging me and lending advice. He pushed me to live a life of service and he’s the reason I’ve tried to follow his example of giving back to my community. I love him dearly and it will be hard not having him around as I watch my own children grow up. I only hope that I can honor a fraction of his memory. Dad, I will miss you. https://tulsaworld.com/…/article_01237d9e-1f3a-11ec…

I was the parent of a TSAS student back in 2012 when their school building was destroyed by fire and in 24 hours Mr. Ballard had a building for these students and staff. He had cleaning crews in the building and getting it all cleaned and stocked for them after the fire. They only missed one day. Still amazes me. Great job by him and his people getting the ball rolling and FAST. We were super grateful!
