!!!!! MONKHOUSE SWINDON STORE !!!!! they have said today (some one I know who is there now ) that they have not been ringing people about orders or answering the phones they were not letting one in either. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from this company. Head office are no help at all neither is the customer services.
It’s been a complete nightmare I left my phone ringing to see how long it would take and it went to 2 hours 12 minutes still no answer I got bored so hung up. Went for an appointment yesterday had to wait outside in a queue and wasn’t let in until 20 minutes after our appointment time then told they had no stock in and I could order online they had them online and I would have to pay £4,99 delivery.
I did try to order online site was down for maintenance the click and collect queue was massive thankfully the items needed weren’t of importance my kids can wear last years but it was frustrating and there was total lack of customer service in the shop and understanding the manager and staff need training this situation could be better handled. Like calling those who booked appointments to check what they needed and then confirm if it’s there the staff can get the stuff ready for each appointment they seem to go off to the back room and get lost.
It would also be better to notify before they travel if items are in or not save so much time and hassle by calling customers or answering the phone. If customers know stocks not available it saves stress on the customer and staff.

Ordered my little ones cardigans back in May and they only just came in, staff here are disgusting, one in one out and not allowed to touch the clothes so what’s the point and how do you know what size you need my mum went in the heavy rain with my son in the pram, she was stopped at the door and told she needed an appointment… she said ok I’ll book one went to go in to book it and they shut the door onto the pram to stop her coming in shouting “no you can’t come in to do that” I am LIVID with this place bloody disgusting they want to try working face to face with bloody covid and then tell me it’s only one at a time.
I’ve managed to get stuff elsewhere now so once mine arrives they can have it back for a refund. Useless.
I have had to resort to secondhand (thankfully excellent condition) for £23 I got shorts,blazer and rugby top so shall be asking for a refund absolute joke went there yesterday they haven’t even processed my order fuming
I’ve complained to the main office via email. Ive been ring since last week. Bloody hopeless is an understatement. When I was in there staff were arguing with eachother. Which I’ve also reported shouldn’t be arguing infront if customers. I’ve never know a company like it. I thought to myself when I went to my appointment why have a sign about customers being abusive towards staff etc.. you only ever really see signs like that in hospitals. Their lack of customers services explains why. Staff so lazy yes you staff are lazy!
The lady on the door told me to make an appointment online. I walked back to the car, tried once again on my mobile and it still didn’t work. I walked back and she said yes she knows it doesn’t work.so I said then she shouldn’t tell people to do it. Turns out the booking system only works on a computer. And they still haven’t replied to my complaint email
