Kenneth Armwood Death – Obituary Middlesex County NJ Government Commissioner Kenneth Armwood has Died.
Governor Phil Murphy 9h · I’m heartbroken by the passing of Middlesex County NJ Government Commissioner Kenneth Armwood. Starting in public service at age 19, Ken lived and breathed public service. He was a true champion for Middlesex County, and he had so much still to do and give back. A huge loss for our state. 1.1K1.1K 105 Comments 63 Shares Like Comment Share
I’ve known Kenny since 1st grade. Over his career he’s given back to local communities all throughout Middlesex County.
He’s helped troubled kids find their way back into society, promoted local small businesses, championed equality, and positively impacted many lives in ways that can’t be fully described.
He embodied the word empathy and even in these troubling political times always took the time to honestly and sincerely hear out other points of you, even those with which he fundamentally disagreed.
Back in September Kenny went to our firehouse and both observed and took part in a training event. To my knowledge he’s the only government official who’s done that. Like he’s done for so many other people he took the time to listen to our experiences and our concerns.
No matter how popular he was, Kenny always made you feel like he was your best friend.
You’ll hear a lot about his public service and the wonderful impact he had in Middlesex County and beyond, all of which are true. Selfishly speaking though the best thing he ever did was giving me his friendship.
