Statesboro High head basketball coach Lee Hill has lost his battle with COVID-19 Saturday.
Hill had been hospitalized since June. He was 68 years old.
Hill led the Statesboro basketball program for 42 years. During that time he led the Blue Devils to 877 victories. He was the winningest active high school basketball coach in the state of Georgia, according to a statement posted online on Aug. 1, 2020 by WJCL

It’s been a sad day. I’ve known Lee Hill ever since I was a student at Georgia Southern. He’s been a mainstay in Statesboro my entire career. He was a dear friend and will be missed.
