Maegan Sanders and Wesley Sanders : Texas A&M Students Killed in Car Accident

Death – Obituaries : (MARKET NEWS) – Friends and families are mourning the death of two students, Maegan Sanders and Wesley Sanders of Texas A&M who recently passed away after a fatal car accident near Hearne Texas.

Maegan Sanders, 22, of Laredo and Wesley Sanders, 19, of Lexington was killed after a three vehicle accident on Sunday December 1st on 1st on U.S. 190 / Highway  near Hearne, TX.

Maegan Sanders was a passenger in a 2019 Ford SUV and the driver, Wesley Sanders, 19, of Lexington, also sadly died. Both were students at the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University. Douglas Leighton, 25, of Tyler, was the driver of a 2019 Tesla. He was seriously injured and taken to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple. The driver of a 2005 Infiniti, Connor Lowen, 19, of Arlington, was not injured. According to a report by thelegaladvocate.com

Funeral.

Funeral for the students has been announced according to the following statement posted on Facebook by Malissa Phillips.

Thank you for all of the words, thoughts, and prayers that have been poured over me and my family. We want to remember my siblings, Maegan and Wes, with the following arrangements, please feel free to share.

There will be a Visitation Wednesday, December 4th, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Lexington, TX at 6pm with a Rosary following immediately at 7pm.

The funeral for both will be Thursday morning at Holy Family Catholic Church at 10:30am.

Please know that our doors are open to anyone that would like to stop by, we know they both touched so many lives, and we would love for you to share your memories.

Fish Camp is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Wesley ‘22 and Maegan Sanders ‘19. Both Wesley and Maegan had great impacts on the Fish Camp family. Wesley most recently served as a counselor for Session C Green, Camp Berry during Fish Camp 2019. Maegan was a valued friend to many in the organization. Their impact on the Fish Camp family has been great, and they will be deeply missed by all. Our thoughts are with their family, friends, and those fortunate to be impacted by them.

(UNDATED)–TWO FORMER LEXINGTON I-S-D STUDENTS WERE KILLED IN A CRASH ON HIGHWAY 6 IN ROBERTSON COUNTY THAT WAS PART OF A DEADLY DAY ON THE HIGHWAY SUNDAY.

19 YEAR OLD WESLEY SANDERS AND 22 YEAR OLD MAEGAN SANDERS OF LEXINGTON WERE PRONOUNCED DEAD AT THE SCENE OF THE WRECK IN SOUTH ROBERTSON COUNTY SUNDAY. EARLIER THAT DAY, 47 YEAR OLD CHRISTOPHER EVAN WAS KILLED IN A CRASH ON HIGHWAY 6 AT THE HIGHWAY OVERPASS AROUND 3:40 SUNDAY AFTERNOON.
