Mandy Devine has died, according to a statement posted online on Aug. 6, 2020.
We learned of the deceased through the following tribute posted on social media.,
Yesterday, the Lucky Dog Family lost a truly amazing member: Mandy Devine. Mandy was not only a Lucky Dog adopter, but an indefatigable volunteer who led our volunteer liaison team with the biggest smile you’ve ever seen. Mandy was often the first face our volunteers saw at adoption events. She ensured everyone had a great time and a positive experience. She onboarded hundreds of new volunteers and encouraged even more to save lives through rescue. Our hearts hurt deeply with her loss.Mandy, we miss you. We love you. And we will continue to work hard saving lives in your memory and in your honor. In recognition of all you have done for Lucky Dog, we are naming our Lead Volunteer Liaison position the “Mandy Devine Volunteer Liaison Lead.” Rest in Peace.Author
If you want to make a donation in Mandy’s honor, we are compiling a list of people who gave to share with her family. When we asked what we could do for her over the last few weeks, her husband let us know her greatest desire was to keep saving Lucky Dogs and Cats. www.luckydoganimalrescue.org/donate

Mandy was a beautiful soul whose kindness was a beacon of light in the often chaotic and crazy rescue world. She will be missed. My heart aches for her family and for those who won’t get to ever know her smile and spirit.

My condolences to her family, your rescue community, and to all the lives, human and non-human, she touched. No doubt she would have made a difference in lives yet to be and so she rightfully acknowledged the need to continue that work.
Rest peacefully, dear soul. The world is a sadder place without you, but a better place because of you.

Mandy was one in a million. Her drive and love of saving animals in need was inspiring. I will always remember that. This is heartbreaking news.

Mandy was such a kind, warm, and welcoming person. She was instantly so sweet and friendly when I started volunteering with Lucky Dog many years ago. She had such a generous heart, I remember instantly bonding about our shared love for conservation and rescue when we were road tripping down to visit our partner shelters. I’m so sad to hear of her passing, she was a bright light gone too soon
