Matt Haslett Death – Obituary – Cause of Death :Matt Haslett has Died .
Matt Haslett have passed away, according to the following statements posted on social media on June 3. 2021.
Gary O’Toole 7h · I woke this morning after a bad night not sleeping great possibly stress or a touch of Hayfever. Nothing bad, but I got to my computer to see the news on Richard Brooks page (I knew they were very good mates) of the passing of an old pal, Matt Haslett! I am truly floored! I worked with Matt for a number of years in The Dark Blues. We always had fun. He was one of life’s no none sense type of people. I asked his advice many times and he was always helpful and supportive. He was always to the point but with a wicked sense of humour, if dour on occasssion he was also a gifted musician and teacher. I searched for a photo to do him justice but couldn’t find one in my pics so downloaded this of him. I always felt the man was a natural leader. I feel the world will be the poorer place with out him. I for one will miss him, but my heart goes out to his friends and family who nursed him through his final days. RIP Matt Still can’t quite believe it!

Sorry about your friend Gary, I don’t believe in death…I’m sure there’s a life after life, but we miss the ones we love..even If I’m a believer, i’m not talking about religion, but this life makes NO sense at all without “something” after…is “ridiculous” 100% ridiculous. take care Maestro. and stay safe! covid is spreading AGAIN in south france…

My sincerest condeolcens, Gary. That must have been a huge shock for you.
RIP Matt Haslett .
I’m terribly saddened by his death and our Facebook news feeds are filled with tributes to this great man. I, like all of us am struggling to come to terms with the fact that he has gone… I will miss you, Matt.
He was my tutor way back, my friend subsequently and his tenure as Head of Guitar at the ACM was the golden period for me! He was a great Head of Guitar and really got the best out of his team; it was bloody fun to have him at the helm!
When I lost my Father, Matt and I chatted and his words brought me great comfort as he too had lost his under similar circumstances.
Matt’s legacy is plain to see; his wonderful personality, kindness and enthusiasm; his incredible musicality; his great skill as a teacher and human being.
There are many, many, many people who would not be who they are if it were not for having met Matt Hasslet.
That’s a moving and honest tribute Nat. My condolences for your loss.
Man just the other day I messaged you about him. What a guy. What a player. What a tutor.
Lovely eulogy Nat! God Bless YOU. Praying for His loving arms to continue to hold you, especially during this time.
Couldn’t agree more Nat. Lovely way to put it. I’d feel lucky if, in my lifetime, I had a small fraction of the effect he had on those around him. RIP Matt
Great tribute Nat! Matt was the first person I met when I started ACM in 2003 and he was a great teacher who inspired me and introduced me to so much music! What a great guy. Really sad news.
You’re so right Nat, I haven’t seen an outpouring like this before from so many people. The shock of losing Matt is so sad and then the heartache of knowing how many dear friends and colleagues are grieving today is very heavy. Big hugs. X
That’s a lovely tribute, Nat. So deeply shocked and saddened to hear about Matt; joining with you in mourning his loss but also remembering his life and achievements.
What a lovely tribute Nat and my sincere condolences to you and the other ACM guitar tutors. I have fond memories of Matt as the Head of Guitar. This is totally heartbreaking! .
He was such a dude. I was very lucky to have been tutored by him. RIP
Shocked. Really sorry to hear this news. He was a top man, funny and I wasn’t even lucky enough to have him as a tutor R.I.P
