Two prayer vigils were held Sunday for Michael Currin, a recent graduate and basketball standout at Archbishop Moeller High School, following an incident where Currin was seriously injured.
During the first vigil held at Moeller, speakers described Currin’s injury as a traumatic head injury, suffered during some sort of incident late Saturday or early Sunday near the University of Dayton, where he is currently a student. According to a report by wlwt.com
Requesting prayers for a friend of my son Joe. Michael Currin is as upstanding and kind as a person can be. He was found a couple miles away from campus last night with a severe brain injury. Thanks for you prayer!Update:7:30 PM Sunday. The Currin family reports that Michael continues to fight for his life. Please pray for this young man. Thank you!Update:News as of 2:30 PM Sunday. Michael had surgery to drain pressure from his head. He remains unconscious. We were told he moans and twitches occasionally, which we’re hoping is a good sign.Michaels roommates at UD said they ordered pizza late last night and Michael went downstairs to meet the delivery driver. Someone then discovered Michael unconscious 3 miles from his dorm. This is all we know at this time. Thanks for continued prayers.
