Michele Gillen Death – Obituary – Cause of Death : Michele Gillen has Died .
Michele Gillen have passed away, according to the following statements posted on social media on June 12. 2021.
Shannon Cogan 9h · In shock. An incredible friend who was a relentless pursuer of truth and justice in reporting has passed. Michele Gillen was just 66. We worked together in Miami and from the first day she was the most supportive. She truly LOVED investigative journalism. The only thing she loved more was her Mother – who passed away not too long ago. She founded the Adopt a Bear program – so that police officers and firefighters would have stuffed bears in their vehicles to lift up children in a time of need. She was an amazing mentor to those starting out in the business. Another reminder of how fragile life is. Cherish each moment.

I worked with Michele on Wednesday’s Child and we became good friends. We lost touch but recently reconnected although we never did get together. She was brilliant, fearless, and a lots of fun too! She cared deeply, fought for the underdog, and was a devoted friend and colleague. Rest In Peace, Michele. May your passion for justice live on in all of us whose lives you touched.
