It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Phoenix Firefighter-Paramedic Miguel Angulo. Miguel passed Monday, September 6th, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with COVID-19.
Miguel was a fifteen-year veteran of the Phoenix Fire Department and worked the majority of his career at Station 25 in Maryvale. Miguel was a dedicated public servant and family man who loved serving his community. He had a big personality and an even bigger heart. Miguel always brought great joy to his fellow Brothers and Sisters. We could always count on Miguel to provide joy with plenty of laughs, great conversation, and fellowship. Miguel is the first Phoenix Firefighter to perish from COVID-19. Line of duty services will be announced when we have that information. Please keep Miguel and his family in your thoughts during this very difficult time.
Condolences – Comments and Reactions.

It is with heartfelt sadness that my husband Jerry and I share our condolences to the firefighters and family of Miguel. Not only a firefighter and paramedic, as if that wasn’t enough… Miguel was a landscaper and a great one at that! He had a heart of gold, so caring, kind, considerate, hard-working, and a superb worker at that! He has a wonderful brother who did our yard trimming etc while Miguel was in a coma. He worked for free, giving the payment to the family of Miguel for their expenses! He too is an amazing guy! It really hurt to hear this wonderful guy with a wife and little kids passed away after his battle with Covid. But I know he is with God and looking down at us and his family. Miguel, we all miss you so much! God Bless you!!!.
