Nancy Raddatz Death – Obituary  : Nancy Raddatz has Died.

Nancy Raddatz has died , according to the following statements posted on social media on April 1. 2021.

Raddatz Dance Studio – West St. Paul 7h  · Nancy Raddatz has gracefully exited the stage of this world with the love and support of her family and “dance family”. Nancy spent her 85 years in West St. Paul, sharing her love of dance with thousands of students, spanning five generations. She first began teaching dance in 1948, and became an iconic entrepreneur of the community, building The Nancy Raddatz Dance Studio, Inc., which carries on her legacy into its 73rd year of business. Nancy had a passion for teaching dance to any and all, which moved her to create her non-profit, The Uniquely Abled Dance Center, Inc., to provide dance lessons free of charge to visually, hearing and physically challenged students. Nancy was also an accomplished artist and enjoyed creating commercial art for community publications, painting canvas backdrops for her annual performances and creating custom pieces for her friends and family. In the coming days, please visit the Nancy Raddatz Memorial Page link at to view, enjoy and share photos, stories and memories from her life dedicated to the joy of dance, love of her community and insuppressible desire to celebrate the talent in each of us. “Goodnight, ladies…farewell, gentlemen…so long, everyone-it’s time to leave you now.” Her spirit dances on!

Lots of tears in the Buzzell home this morning.
I am grateful beyond measure for the studio and opportunities Nancy built in our community and for my daughters to call a second home. We know her legacy lives on through those teachers and dance families that continue to foster such a love of dance each season. Sending love and strength to the family, staff and dancers who will feel this loss very heavily.

I’m so heartbroken. Nancy made the dreams of so many children and adults come true by teaching them dance. She created a fun loving atmosphere where the love of dance was number one rather then competition. She made my son so excited to dance each week we have so many of her snoopy things that she would use to inspire him. She was and will always be an icon. We will miss you Nancy but where you are now dance freely and enjoy every moment

I was one of her first students in the early 50’s and I remember having lessons from my cousin Nancy in my Aunt Gert and Uncle Carls’s basement just down the street from us. I took lessons from her until I was 16 years old. She taught me grace, joy of dance, and the love of expressing yourself with music. She was well known for her self made succsesful business
