Very sad news on the passing of John Bucci. Was one of the good guys in the basketball world. Never had any agenda, just about coaching his kids & running @JBHoopsAAU . Always enjoyed talking hoops with him. Condolences to his family & all of his players, he will surely be missed

John Bucci did more for youth sports in the Scranton area than anybody – ever. Was also a huge lacrosse supporter and believer in the game. Awesome guy who will be missed by every coach of any sport in Northeast PA. https://t.co/jNsbTMc1j9

Rest In Peace, Coach John Bucci. You are a major part of our school and athletic department history. Thank you for your love and dedication to our school and for never forgetting your roots. God bless. Our condolences go out to your family, friends, fellow coaches, and former players. ❤️
RIP to NEPA basketball coach John Bucci. John was a fixture on the youth basketball scene at Backcourt Hoops in Scranton and helped me a lot (personally) in starting up our Binghamton Bulldogs youth AAU programs.
John got his start as the Head Coach of Bishop Hannon, and coached Gerry Macnamara to a state title in 2002.
Rest easy big fella, thank you for your guidance.
