DEATH / OBITUARIES :Family and friends are mourning the death of Roger Hill who recently passed away.
We learned of the deceased through the following tribute posted on social media.
We have heard sad news that Roger Hill passed away on Monday. Roger was county ecologist for Staffordshire for approximately 30 years, retiring in 2004.
Roger was instrumental in the establishment of Local Wildlife Sites in the county and co author of the Flora of Staffordshire.

I am very sad to learn of Roger’s death. I worked for Staffs CC in a different area of expertise between 1989 and 2004. He was a wonderful colleague with a dry sense of humour. My best wishes to his family.
