A shooting was reported near Concession Road 6 and Wellandport Road, according to a series of tweets sent out by the Niagara Regional Police Department on Tuesday evening before 8 o’clock.
According to the police, several males went to a residence in the neighborhood when at least one shot was fired. The incident did not result in any injuries to any of the people there.
According to the tweets, the police are currently combing the area for the suspects.
As a safety measure, “members of the public who are in the area are being asked to remain indoors” (also known as “shelter in place”), the Niagara police added. “We ask that you refrain from entering the area.”
Officers from the surrounding area have requested assistance from the Ontario Provincial Police and a helicopter.
The investigation indicates that there were five possible suspects involved. According to the tweets, four people were in jail at eight o’clock on Tuesday evening.
