Senator Slade Gorton passed earlier this morning at the age of 92, according to a statement posted online on Aug. 19, 2020.
Thomas Slade Gorton III was an American politician. A Republican, he was a U.S. Senator from Washington state from 1981 to 1987, then from 1989 to 2001.
