Steve Strange Death – Obituary News: Eminem Booking Agent dies at 53, Cause of Death Unknown.
We are sad to report that Steve Strange has died. It is with great sadness that Celebrities Deaths learned tonight of the loss of one of the most important and influential figures ever to emerge from the Irish Music Industry. Steve was a founding partner in X-Ray Touring and was agent for numerous major acts, including fellow Northerners Snow Patrol and Eminem.
His death was announced on social media by Ronnie James Dio who wrote the following statements on Facebook.
I am so, so sad to hear the news that my dear friend, Steve Strange passed away this morning. He was a brilliant, talented agent but more than that he was wonderful, kind human being. I shall remember all the good times we shared, always laughing and having fun. I will miss him terribly. My condolences go out to his daughter and all of his many, many friends. RIPWendy Dio
Born in Ireland in 1968, Strange began his career in the industry as a drummer, performing with several Irish bands, including No Hot Ashes and following the band to London after signing a deal with GWR Records.
After No Hot Ashes dissolved in 1990, Strange landed gigs at several artist management and booking agencies before returning to Ireland where he signed on with Irish promoter MCD/Wonderland to manage bookings at The Limelight club.
Condolences – Comments and Reactions.
I was not planning to post about my lovely friend Steve Strange but this memory just came up which I posted 6 years ago today and I felt I had to share. We were at Rock in Rio and as always we had such a laugh.Steve Strange – a truly good and loving person without a bad bone in his body. The life and soul of every occasion, a music man to the core and dedicated to his clients, friends and family. If you knew him you will understand why everyone is devastated by his passing and if you didn’t know him you missed out big time. R.I.P my friend, I’m going to miss you x
He was the guy who got us. Who mentored us. Who guided us. Who supported us. Who cracked us up and laughed that laugh with us. He was #1 of Team Tempt. It’s hard to put into words what someone like him means to you. He was a beautiful man who we loved. We will miss you always and never forget what you did for us. Our condolences to his friends and family. Rest in Peace Steve Strange – Harrison, Zach, Nick, Chris

So shocked and saddened to hear Steve Strange has died.Steve was a genius agent, an incredible person, and to work with him was a pleasure – someone who did absolutely the best job for his artists -whilst having total respect for everyone else who’s part of putting a show together.I’m lucky enough to have had some hilarious nights with him, and we put on some fantastic gigs together – memories which I’ll treasure all the more now.All my love to his family, and to everyone at X-ray Touring and everyone else who worked with and loved him. The world of live music has lost a legend, and it won’t be quite as colourful anymore.
