The following are some tributes posted on social media to honor the life and the legacy of the deceased.

As an educator this is the hardest things you deal with is A tragedy involving a student and I pray for the families in Bastrop County that have lost their young love ones.

I pray that God eases your burdens and pain.
Today I woke up to the most heartbreaking news I could ever imagine. I was informed that a young man who was basically my son.

Tardrick Fowler – one the smartest, charismatic, and kind individuals you will ever meet passed away. I taught him his Junior year and he played football and ran track for me.

He was a special individual who always put others before himself. I am saddened by this tragic loss but I was so glad to see the positive impact that this young man had made many people life. This young mans legacy is the true definition of “live a good story” because he was always about what he could do for others.

My youngest looked up to him on the football field and a prime example of Tardrick’s selflessness was this past year in a playoff game he caught a long pass and got held up and was getting ready to get tackled at the 2 yard line before they tackled him he pitched the ball to my son He scored. That may not seem like much to many but it meant the world to my son. That was something he’ll never forget about him.

Tardrick bled orange and black and always put his teammates before himself. I think about what I can take from this tragic event and God is put on my heart to be selfless and help others. I lived in Smithville for the past seven years and the great thing about this community is we that ALL come together in times of adversity. This is one of those times that we all need to be here for this young man’s family.

Tardrick’s kindness and selflessness will never be forgotten . I’m going to continue to pray for you all and thank for every precious day of my life. It’s a very sad day and there has been lots of things we have on our plates, but I challenge all who read this to post something positive about someone on social media.RIP Trollie
