We are sad to report that Tyler Scheidt has passed away, according to the following statements posted on social media on August 20. 2021.
Region Sports Nation 20h · All of us here at Region Sports would like to express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of 21 year old Tyler Scheidt, a former Highland Trojan basketball and tennis player, who was tragically killed Wednesday in Highland as a result of a four-car accident. Tyler was a likeable young man and his loss has the entire Highland community in mourning. A 2019 HHS graduate, Tyler was currently attending Wabash College as a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. Our hearts and prayers go out to his friends and family during this difficult time. Tyler impacted many people in a positive way during his time on earth and will be forever remembered as a wonderful son, brother, friend and teammate. So heartbreaking!!! Ty was awesome and so were his family!!! My wife babysat him and his brother when they were younger for Coach Scheidt. So tragic.
