So heartbreaking. So many people go through life putting on a front and not dealing with what they’ve been through. I really admire his bravery as talking about it is never easy. I think this documentary with help many people to see they are not alone
Ur very brave. Ur mum didnt leave u, she just couldnt cope with her pain, her anxiety and her stresses. If u get to that state, its hard to think straight, u feel like u will make life easier for others by just being gone. And if u dont have anyone who recognise where u are at that place & not the right help, i can understand her choice. Not easy at all, and all very sad. Wish u a happy and good life x

So brave to talk about this you’ve carried this around for so long bless you . I lost my mam at 18 to cancer my mam was only 52 , its 40 years this year not a day goes by without me thinking of her . There is light at the end off that dark tunnel I’m smiling about the nice memories . Stay strong Joey & keep talking it’s the best therapy there is .
As a mother this completely breaks my heart.
I can never understand how a mother could leave her precious children.
I suppose I’m lucky I have never felt so bad that that was an option.
I have respect for Joey after watching this. No matter what you say about him, a really hard road to walk. Bless you Joey. I really hope you have a wonderful and happy life and find peace in yourself and understand your mum was sick and didn’t see another option.
Such an honest chap. Obviously been carrying such grief all his life. Good luck with the therapy and getting your life back again. Heart breaking programme.
heartbreaking , it’s good that Joey Essex was able to open up and talk about his mum which is the hardest thing. Very brave of him, when he said if she loved me then why did she leave me was a very sad and powerful thing to say. Have a lot of respect for Joey.
I watched this last night so painful but very honest how he dealing with this trauma I just wanted to give him a huge hug bless him
This shows how many people especially men hide behind their true feelings. It seems one of the last taboo subjects in society, dealing with grief. Hope Joey and others in a similar place get the help they need.
Thought Joey was incredibly brave to show his vulnerability in the way that he did
I watched this last night and my heart totally went out to him and his family. What an absolute tragic loss for such a young boy. I thought he was a really kind genuine lad, who is not a stupid as he claims to be, far from it. I hope he has found some … See More
